Other cars, usually ones that aren&#8217;t really meant to do any towing, don&#8217;t have factory options, so you&#8217;d have to get an aftermarket one. I&#8217;ve seen a lot of aftermarket hitches, and some look fine, but others do not look like safe designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2022_07_04_01.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2022_07_04_01.jpg?w=800\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5806\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was looking over a first-generation Honda CR-V, when I noticed that the aftermarket trailer hitch was not safe.
