This means that the driver&#8217;s seat is usually a bit farther forward than is comfortable for me to drive. I usually try to avoid moving a seat unless I need to test drive the car on the road and the customer&#8217;s seat position puts me in a very uncomfortable or unsafe position, especially with manual transmission cars.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4809\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2020_03_16_01.jpg\" alt=\"2020_03_16_01\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This customer must be the shortest I&#8217;ve had, because it wasn&#8217;t just the seat position that made it hard to drive, it was the pedals. It was the first time I&#8217;ve seen actual pedal extensions, and it was not easy for me to drive it around the lot smoothly with my foot so high off the floor.
