I&#8217;m not sure if that applies to cars that aren&#8217;t even a decade old, though.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4706\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/2020_01_13_01.jpg\" alt=\"2020_01_13_01.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This 2011 Honda Accord was in the shop recently, and it has had the worst paint failure I&#8217;ve seen. There have been cars from several manufacturers over the last 20 years with clearcoat failures, but this is so bad even the paint seems to have gone and the whole hood is showing rust.
