Check The Fuses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you ever plug a scanner into the OBD-II port on a car and it doesn&#8217;t turn on or can&#8217;t connect, chances are it&#8217;s just a blown fuse, as they often share with some other circuit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3587\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/2017_10_23_01.jpg\" alt=\"2017_10_23_01.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I was trying to do a state inspection on a used Kia Soul we&#8217;d just sold, but the inspection computer couldn&#8217;t communicate. Looking through the fuse lists, nothing said whether it affected the OBD connector, so I had to start looking on the internet.
