That was a little of an understatement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3486\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017_09_28_01.jpg\" alt=\"2017_09_28_01.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The aluminum oil pan had a huge chunk taken out of it, and the exhaust pipe had a big dent.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3487\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017_09_28_02.jpg\" alt=\"2017_09_28_02\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you might expect, because of the huge hole in the oil pan, there was oil all over the underside of the car from when the car was still driving after this happened.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3488\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017_09_28_03.jpg\" alt=\"2017_09_28_03\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You shouldn&#8217;t be able to see inside the bottom of the engine like this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3489\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017_09_28_04.jpg\" alt=\"2017_09_28_04\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even more impressive than the oil pan was the subframe. Whatever they hit, they definitely would&#8217;ve felt, because the dent in the subframe is huge, almost folding part of it.
