I&#8217;ve worked on many cars with so many indications of major problems, sometimes very unsafe problems, but somehow the owner didn&#8217;t know.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3117\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017_07_10_01.jpg\" alt=\"2017_07_10_01.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t imagine that this didn&#8217;t make any noise or make the braking feel different. There is no brake pad at all in one of the rear brake calipers, so it&#8217;s just the caliper itself grinding against the rotor. I don&#8217;t know if there just somehow wasn&#8217;t a pad installed, or more likely the pad was just worn all the way through.
