They can cause damage or get themselves injured or killed by getting in places they shouldn&#8217;t be. I once found a dead mouse in an air filter box.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2842\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/2017_05_11_01.jpg\" alt=\"2017_05_11_01.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The air filter box is a popular place for animals, often for hiding food. This is the second time I&#8217;ve seen one full of dog food that an animal has stashed away.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2843\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/2017_05_11_02.jpg\" alt=\"2017_05_11_02\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another popular wild animal food is birdseed, and some industrious rodent seems to have decided that this air filter box is a good place to store some.
