I recently encountered another place where maintenance was clearly considered during design.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-2535\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017_03_13_01.jpg\" alt=\"2017_03_13_01.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is the rear subframe on a Honda Pilot, with an access hole for the drain plug of the rear differential. You could get to it without the hole, but there&#8217;s also a fill plug higher up, and that would be hard to reach without the hold provided for it as well.
