<\/p>\nI’d been looking for a good work light when I ran across this one on Facebook.<\/p>\n

This is the Mychanic Flex Light. It’s a pretty typical work light, hook on the top, magnet on the bottom, bends in the middle, and has three functions: full brightness, low brightness, and an additional light on the end. The website states a 215 lumen output, which is pretty good. It runs on 3 AA batteries and lasts about six hours. I prefer rechargeable lights, but it lasts long enough it’s not a big deal.<\/p>\n
Over the past few weeks of use I’ve used it a lot and it’s taken several falls from six feet up but is still working perfectly. There are a couple things I’m not a fan of. I would prefer just having a simple on\/off light, and not have to cycle through three setting to turn it off. Other people may like that, so I won’t hold it against it. The other issue I have with the design is the magnets on the bottom.<\/p>\n

There are four small magnets on the base of the light. The problem is that for the light to stick on a surface, it has to be perfectly flat so all four magnets are in contact, as they aren’t strong enough individually. They also aren’t quite strong enough together to hold the light sticking out sideways, which limits some possibilities. I think a better design would be one big, strong magnet in the center like some other lights I’ve seen. With the battery cover on this light that would be a problem, but it could be worked around.<\/p>\n
Overall I’d give this light a rating of 4 out of 5. Not my ideal, but good enough I’ll keep using it for a long time.<\/p>\n
