Usually those actually aren&#8217;t a bad time. What mechanics really dread are jobs that dig deep into other areas of the car.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1967\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/2016_11_17_01.jpg\" alt=\"2016_11_17_01.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>One of those repairs is a wiring harness replacement. On modern cars it may not be possible to simply repair a damaged wire, because computer signals may be disrupted by a change in resistance in the wire after the repair, so often a full wiring harness replacement is needed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1968\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanicalmalarkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/2016_11_17_02.jpg\" alt=\"2016_11_17_02\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Often this means removing most of the interior of car, or in the case of this Honda Ridgeline, completely removing the interior of pickup bed.
